Sunday

On Sunday everyone was dressed and ready to go to church and much to our surprise we had twenty minutes to kill. It was strange and fabulous all at the same time! So I took the opportunity to take a few pictures of Shea and the kids in their Sabbath day garb out on our porch. Shea teased me for leaving my camera at home while we were on vacation and for always having it at the most non-momentous occasions. Well, yes that happened. But in truth it was momentous. We haven't all been to church together in more than a month because of Shea's crummy schedule as of late. So. Shea. These pictures are to document that you are not inactive. There.

"I was just lookin' at this bird over there."
Distracted.
I made a hilarious sound so they smiled.

Flying like a bird.
Cheesy grins. Love it!

The Last Couple of Weeks

Here is a short summation of August thus far.

Lots of potty time. Team effort style.

Since Shea and I have been painting a whole lot lately, Loreli has felt left out so she has been painting lots of other things. This has been a perfect way to keep her occupied while we work.

Here's ole Jack Paintbrush-hands

This month we have finished painting every room in the house except for the main room. We were having lots of issues choosing, but finally we both decided on the pale green on the far left! Yay! We may hate it in a few weeks, but we agreed on the color and now have 3 gallons of it. Now we're committed.

More pictures to come of the house once the new carpet and hardwood floors are in!
I pinned a project earlier this summer for a water table and have been wanting to make it for quite a while. SO I finally buckled down and made it on Thursday along with another old pin.

This is going to sound lame, but this is the first thing I have ever made with wood. Obviously it's not complex, but I did it all by my lonesome while Shea was off working a million hours at the plant. The best thing of all though is the kids love it! Check out these cheesy faces.

The other project I did on Thursday was a bean bag toss. And on Friday Loreli helped me sew and fill the bags. She is seriously such a good helper!

Yeah my holes aren't symmetrical or fancy at all...give a gal a break. Hole saws are hard to use.

Love those smushy cheeks

And that wraps up what we've been up to for the last couple of weeks.

Summertime Happenings

Seriously. Where has the summer gone? It's already August? Inconceivable! Here are some things we've been up to this summer. Forgive me for having zero pictures of our Tennessee trip. We forgot our camera. Tragedy.

Way back in June we went to Utah and visited those amazing Densons. Here are the girls riding bikes. So lame that I only have these pictures of bike riding from our awesome visit.

At Grandma's 50th birthday party!

Hanging out at home.

Playing with the cute kitties, Shasta and Jinx, in Star Valley

Hanging out with awesome Auntie Jennacy

Dressing like a diva!

Sticking out tongues.

Drinking bath water

Yep...so that's been our summer! We've taken some fun trips, started lots of home projects, eaten tons of watermelon and have had a lot of giggles. Those kids of ours are always giggling.
